I am John Nesbitt LICSW, a psychotherapist in Hanover, New Hampshire. I work with adults, adolescents and children ten and older in individual therapy and parent-guidance work. I have a particular interest in adolescents struggling to thrive socially or academically; the impact of learning disabilities on social and emotional functioning; and parents struggling to effectively support their children. With over 10 years experience, my approach is informed by training in traditional Dynamic Psychotherapy, CBT, Attachment Theory, Executive Function Coaching and mindfulness techniques. I am also interested in using findings in neuroscience to inform our understanding of various problems of living.
